How to Remove Scaling from Electric Kettle ?

The science behind scale (also known as hard water buildup) is simple: when water is boiled in an electric kettle, minerals such as magnesium and calcium don’t evaporate; they remain in the kettle as a white powdery deposit.

Removing Stain is very simple;  All you need is something mildly acidic like vinegar (or lemon juice) to get the job done.

  1. Fill the kettle using a 1:1 ratio of water and distilled white vinegar or a descaling agent purchased at the store
  2. Boil the kettle with the mixture in it
  3. Turn off the kettle and let the mixture sit for 20 minutes or more
  4. Unplug the kettle and then scrub the inside of the kettle. Use a spot of extra vinegar on tough residue deposits.
